DSYS CROSS COUNTRY
Is currently seeking volunteers for the Fall 2017 season.  Please contact us if you are interested in helping bring this program back to DSYS.
 
Goals: 
Encourage life-long awareness of health and fitness through Track (Spring) and Cross-Country (Fall) relevant training and exercise. Promote safe and positive competition to support youth athletic development into high school years. 
 
Objectives:
·        Develop athletic capabilities of local youth in the areas of Track and Cross Country.
·        Enhance track and distance running skills of youth who intend to continue with sport at higher levels, such as high school, through participation in meets. 
·        Contribute to physical development of youth through off-season training. 
·        Promote correct techniques, conditioning and proper stretching.
